Midkin Cotton Gin, located north of Moree NSW, is in the heart of cotton country.

With the capacity to handle over 200,000 bales of cotton a year, Midkin needed a reliable supplier with specialist knowledge to handle maintenance and welding solutions. 

Solution

Gwydir Group knows the cotton industry, and the importance of getting the job right particularly when it comes to pressure vessel welding for gas and liquid storage.

Working with the gin for over 30 years, Gwydir Group staff have undertaken not only pressure vessel welding, but structural welding work, repairs and maintenance on structural steel, top seals and hydraulic lines. The team have also designed and manufactured 12-foot high doors for the trash house at the Gin, removed and fitted cyclones to help manage dust, and rebuilt press boxes.
